With the new year, comes much that is fresh and hopeful.  Sometimes caught by cogs which snag and attempt to stilt our growth and ambition; we press on, scraped, yet renewed and smarter for it.

Here, a January wrap-up, days have proven full, active and tasty:

Devotion: To see our path clearly (body, heart, spirit – united).   There is no distinction between the outer world and the inner one.

Reflection: Moon above water/Sit in Solitude
Meditation allows stillness throughout the day.

Music as prelude to silence…

Winter Storms prepare the way for life.

Arctic breath coils the mountain,
Rattling the forests bones.

Raindrops cling to branches: Jewelled adornment flung to earth.

Forbearance – withstand like trees, the good and bad.

Work is necessary for survival.  Work according to seasonal circumstances…true labor is half initiative and half knowing how to let things proceed.

Uselessness: Useful trees are cut down. Useless ones survive.

Ubiquity (the state or capacity of being everywhere, esp. at the same time, omnipresence, the omnipresence of God)

Defense: demons who enter your circle must be pushed out.

Compassion and humility not useful in conflict, virtue is to be valued in context, only a sword will do in battle. Prepare with self-defense.

Engagement: Choices, Action, this is Life, not apathy, but choosing how; as the series of opportunities parades by.
